On Thursday, the 28th of March, we welcomed Landlords from across Norfolk and Suffolk for an evening of knowledge, insight and conversation with industry experts and local businesses.
To give you a rundown of the night, Outside of the venue, our sponsor, Porche Norwich, greeted guests with two of the newest models. We then met guests and the rest of our night's sponsors, Leathes Prior, Alan Boswell Group, Larking Gowen and Norfolk Mortgages, in the venue's main foyer for welcome drinks and introductions.
The main event was down to our three speakers of the night, who each shared a unique set of skills to share with the attendees.

First up was Jordan Smith from Larking Gowen, who offered knowledge on topical tax matters, changes around the spring budget, the impact of the abolition of the furnished holiday letting legislation for Airbnb owners and how this could all affect landlords over the coming year.
Gary from Norfolk Mortgages followed Jordan's strong start with his knowledge of mortgages, what the mortgage scope is likely to look like for 2024, and how to navigate the space as a landlord.
Lastly, to end the session, our Head of Lettings, Luke Savins, from Minors & Brady, discussed the opportunities that come with becoming a landlord and how to overcome potential challenges they might face effectively.
Each talk ended with the opportunity for attendees to ask any burning questions, which opened the floor for further conversation. This offered attendees the chance to get free, valuable advice on any reservations they may have had that were personal to their situation.
After the talk, the evening transitioned to an opportunity to network with the professionals and offer a hand with any in-depth questions they had over canopies and refreshments.
The night ended with attendees' queries answered and feeling motivated and confident about their housing portfolios.
