Building Future Resilience: Inspiring Launch at Hethersett Academy

At Minors & Brady, we believe in supporting not just communities, but the future generations that shape them. That’s why we were delighted to see Jamie Minors attend a truly inspiring event at Hethersett Academy, marking the launch of an exciting new initiative focused on developing mental strength in young people across Norfolk.

A Powerful Step Forward for Young People in Norfolk

On Monday 27th April, Hethersett Academy welcomed broadcaster and High Performance Podcast host Jake Humphrey to celebrate the official launch of Game Plan across the Inspiration Trust.

This ambitious programme is designed to help students aged 11–18 develop resilience, improve wellbeing, and build the essential life skills needed to navigate an ever-changing world, something we know is more important than ever.

Inspiring the Next Generation

During the visit, students were given a rare opportunity to turn the tables on Jake in a unique ‘reverse podcast’ experience. Taking centre stage, they asked insightful questions about his career journey, the challenges he’s faced, and the mindset needed to perform at the highest level.

It was a powerful and engaging session, one that brought the concept of resilience to life in a way only real-world stories can.

Jamie Minors was proud to be there to witness this moment, supporting an initiative that aligns closely with our values as a business rooted in community and growth.

What Is Game Plan?

Game Plan, delivered by the High Performance Foundation, is a forward-thinking programme now embedded within the Inspiration Trust’s PSHE curriculum.

Using engaging video content and real-life stories from high-performing individuals, the programme equips students with tools to:

  • Build mental resilience
  • Strengthen emotional wellbeing
  • Develop confidence and adaptability
  • Prepare for life beyond the classroom

It’s a holistic approach to education, focusing not just on academic success, but on developing the mindset needed to thrive in all aspects of life.

Why It Matters

Jake Humphrey perfectly captured the importance of the initiative, saying:

“Building mental strength is just as important as academic success. Programmes like Game Plan give young people access to the tools, stories and strategies that can genuinely change how they approach challenges, setbacks and opportunities.”

At Minors & Brady, we couldn’t agree more.

Helping young people build confidence, resilience, and ambition is essential for the future of our communities and initiatives like this are paving the way.

A Shared Commitment to Community

The Inspiration Trust’s decision to roll out Game Plan across its schools reflects a strong commitment to developing the “whole child” academically, emotionally, and psychologically.

For us, it’s inspiring to see such investment in the next generation, right here in Norfolk.

Jamie’s attendance highlights our ongoing support for initiatives that make a genuine difference locally and reinforce the importance of giving young people the tools they need to succeed.

Looking Ahead

The launch of Game Plan marks an exciting step forward, not just for the Inspiration Trust, but for young people across the region.

We’re proud to support and celebrate opportunities like this and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have in the years to come.
